Ed Juarez is a Jiu-Jitsu black belt at 925 Jiu Jitsu. He began his training as a white belt under Erico Monteiro in 2013 and has a strong passion for working with students of all ages and levels.

​

Ed's methods focus on creating easy-to-understand explanations, especially for our younger students as they develop their abilities to follow multiple directions. He understands that everyone begins their Jiu-Jitsu journey at a different point, and everyone progresses at a different rate. His goal is to help students build their skills and confidence at a pace that challenges them without discouraging them.

He enjoys helping students progress through their early stages of training. His favorite part is getting to work with his granddaughter and enjoys watching her grow and gain confidence in her Jiu-Jitsu abilities.

In addition to his time at the academy, Ed is a retired police officer and currently works in executive protection. His experience reinforces the importance of control, situational awareness, and practical self-defense skills, which he incorporates when helping adults, kids, and competitors.
